Reviews about 7-Eleven
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆July 29, 2020, by Heather KleinIf I could give this ZERO stars I would. I rarely ever post negative reviews on a company unless the experience truly warrants it. I was absolutely appalled at the experience I received this morning at the 7-11 on Ballard Rd in Des Plaines, IL. Unfortunately, I did not catch the attendants name; however, I will be back in the store shortly and will be filing a corporate complaint. First, as I entered the store, I noticed a couple immediate things: 1- The worker did not even come out of the back office until I had made it all the way to the coffee station to start making my coffee and 2- He had a blue tooth ear piece in chatting away with someone on the phone. He never greeted us but rather just kept on talking. All the baked goods were not in the baked goods cabinet but rather laying out in the open, uncovered, on the check out counter and nearby areas. These baked goods were exposed to open air. I'm pretty sure that has to be a good/health violation right there because who knows how long the baked goods were sitting out? I would not eat ANY baked goods from this location. The coffee area had 1 pot of coffee made, mind you this was during the morning hours at approximately 4:40am and the rest of the coffee mugs were laying out on the coffee station. It was messy and unattended to. Lastly, and this is the best part, I realized I left my debt card at the house but had quite a bit of change. The worked complained because I paid in change and that he really didn't want to pay in anything but silver. He refused to take any pennies. Last time I checked, pennies were a FORM OF CURRENCY. He refused the pennies and I said fine, I don't need the coffee. He then stated, so you wasted a coffee.. "what am I supposed to do with it now". "You COST me money"... Well, I'm pretty sure had he actually accepted change (which again, is currency), the coffee wouldn't have been wasted. Then the yelling and the berated began. Literally, I have never been more embarrassed and felt like I was 10 years old again getting scolded by my Father. I politely apologized and let him know I would bring dollars back, (EVEN THOUGH CHANGE IS CURRENCY). What business operates this way and treats their customers like this? 7-11 Corporate will be the next contact I make. Avoid this 7-11 at all costs!
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆March 06, 2020, by YD KimJust like most of the gas station and standalone convenience stores, it does the job, but almost never any friendliness from the staff, costs more than Walgreen's or Duane Reade, and almost never has what you need and you end up going somewhere else or settle in buying something else. But that's what a convenience store is there for: convenience (not great prices, or 'yes I have your Crystal Diet Half-Caf with a twist of lemon açai Pepsi in a 1 litre 3D Virtual Reality edition environmentally safe bottle).
